I agree, clearly, the Gov and the AG have different styles and messaging. But in a way they are each acting to speak to ordinary, less political Arizonans. Hobbs is doing this by focusing on bread and butter issues, and Mayes by litigation when the Federal government is doing something that may be patently unfair. The deciding factor in our statewide elections is the part of our population who don't primarily see themselves as political, but it is a segment that wants fairness and common sense.

“All people should be judged based on their character and ability, not their race or ethnicity. DEI language and programs promote the exact opposite, and they have no place in the classroom. The teaching standards, unfortunately, include DEI references, and they need to be removed,” Horne said.

I am old enough to remember when affirmative action applied only to white males like Tom Horne. Now that these white males have to compete against qualified women, Blacks and Latinos these same males are screaming and whining how unfair life is.

Kyrsten Sinema is totally responsible for developing the strategy that nearly every one of the current Democratic office holders used to win…….and Dems literally threw her out of the party. Yes, politics is very strange. It’s also interesting they discarded her because she refused to end the filibuster. Gee, wonder what things would look like for Dems if the filibuster had been discarded. 🤔

As for DEI, I had graduated from college, had a job and a wage less than my male counterpart, still got to make the coffee. I wanted to start my own business and could not get a credit card, buy a car or rent a space without my husbands (was not married) of father co-signing. Civil rights laws had not apparently applied. Diversity, equity and inclusion include all WOMEN. Women still make less than men for doing the same job. Good for you Hank. It’s a badge of honor. Wonder who ratted you out?

Next up: A Halloween-day rally haunting Rep. Juan Ciscomani’s Tucson offices.

He’s recently been criticized for ghosting constituents, but organizers are trying to summon him anyway.

A conjuring of Juan. Sounds like fun. Don't forget the eye of Newt (Gingrich) in the potion.
