Hey readers,
We mentioned in Friday’s newsletter that we’re taking the week off.
Monday was Memorial Day. And to be honest, we’re pretty burnt out. We’re not taking our traditional monthlong summer break this year, and we’ve got a lot of stuff to do as we officially kick off another campaign season here at the Agenda.
So we’re not publishing this week.
We’re spending the remaining weekdays getting some business tasks knocked out (we run the whole show here — from writing the newsletter to managing the books) and working on some profiles of the upcoming races to watch.
Taking the week to catch up and work ahead will free up the time we need in the next few months to dig deeper on the stories that deserve it. And it’ll give us time to build out some cool tools to help you manage the crazy season. We’ll tell you more about that when we return on Monday, June 3.
One final note: Thank you all so much for being here and supporting the Agenda. You readers are our only bosses. And you’re the best bosses we’ve ever had.
Thank you for understanding that putting out a daily newsletter and running your own business is hard work! Thank you for encouraging us — via our recent survey — to take more time off. We need to hear that!
Taking a break is hard.
When you run your own business, there’s no paid time off, nobody to cover while you slack off, no sick days (hell, we didn’t even have a health insurance plan until recently). If we don’t sell subscriptions, we don’t get paid.
Without your support, the Agenda would cease to exist.
So please, if you can, click that button to ensure the Agenda continues to thrive and can be your eyes and ears on the ground through this critical election season.
Thank you!
See you next Monday.
