Respectfully, the timing of the license plate bills presented by Rep Austin and Rep Ortiz was way off kilter. They didn't "read the room". Currently, national news trumps any attempts to provide any types of services or resources for our LGBTQ and people-of-color populations as this new Trump Administration tears down any progress heretofore made to substantiate their own rights as American citizens. Trump has illegally authorized Elon Musk (without security checks, written authorization or following any chain of command) to run roughshod over our federal agencies to fire/dismiss thousands of civil servants, relieve top ranking military generals of their command, declare only two genders legal--male and female--and stopped any further medical treatment of transgender individuals in the midst of their own transition. Harmful edicts that will harm people. Lawsuits have ensued challenging the new administration's methods, so it will take time. Perhaps our Democratic legislators can spend time and energies in challenging the wrong-doings of this federal rogue administration and bring appropriate charges against them to remove them from office . I pray they will.
How about Alex Kolodin’s bill to allow booze, BYOB, on golf courses to make it more affordable? Out there working for the little guy🫠 that’s what I’m laughing at😂
I have spent my morning texting and emailing my friends and family to CALL their legislative representatives. All Republican legislators from Arizona voted yes on the initial budget which included cutting $1b from Medicaid or in Arizona AHCCCS. 1/3 of the 7m who live in Arizona are on AHCCCS. This is literally killing people for tax cuts benefiting the rich. Many are children, others work for small businesses. Don’t even mention the undocumented they do not apply. Stop with the lies. Now, how will the Az legislators backfill this money? They can’t. Please call. My call to David Schweikert’s office was probably too emotional but I got my point across. My friend, unable to work as his kidneys don’t function is on AHCCCS. He’ll die. Lower taxes=death? That’s unAmerican.
It says a lot about the AZ electorate that 70% of voters have never heard of the lawmaker and fake elector, Jake Hoffman.
