I am impressed by the students stepping up and speaking to their elected officials. To be so rude to these students is deplorable. Many Republican women who support anti DEI legislation got where they are on the backs of suffragettes. Women couldn’t vote until 1923, the year my mother was born. Where were they in the 1960’s fighting for equal rights, equal pay and the right to run for office? Freedom is not only legislated it is cultural. Jim Crow laws in the south. Accepting women in political offices came from places like EMILY’s list. Spending time scrolling to find obviously controversial legislation makes Bliss look ignorant. Do better. Come on.

Democrats initiated attacks on the judiciary, enlisting allies in the Bar, apparently not realizing the right would eventually start punching back. Meanwhile, not just the judiciary, but those of us in the middle, will suffer the consequences.
